Atlanta - The Grayson Rams used the bruising running of fullback Greg Zellner and the slashing style of their speedy but diminutive wing back Ean Pemberton to upend McEachern in the last game of the night inside the Georgia Dome.

Atlanta - Etowah's senior running back Ryan Boykin had a caeer day to open the 2008 football season as he ripped through the Starr's Mill defense for 275 yards and three touchdowns in a 47-24 rout.

Clarksville, TN - Head Coach Percy Gordon and his 14U GA Pistols put all of the pieces together and the results turned out to be just what he thought they could be when they started pool play back on Tuesday... a National Championship.

Angelo Taylor (l), Terrence Trammell (c) and Dee Dee Trotter (r) are all former Georgia H.S. track champions from DeKalb County.
Three former
DeKalb County high school track & field champions are in Beijing, China seeking gold as in the Olympic Gold Medal. Dee Dee Trotter from Cedar Grove H.S. and a pair of former Southwest DeKalb Panthers; Angelo Taylor and Terrance Trammell are in Beijing to once again represent the United States in the 2008 Olympics.

Former Stephenson H.S. and UGa star begins his NFL dream with the GB Packers.
Former UGA star running back Kregg Lumpkin is now in a position to make his childhood dreams of playing in the NFL come true, after an injury plagued career at the University of Georgia,  Lumpkin went undrafted in this years NFL Draft but he had shown enough promise during his UGA days that the Green Bay Packers made him a priority free-agent signing.
